As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Quality Inspector IV, 2nd Shift, position in our Machine Products Group, located in Westminster, CA. This division of B/E Aerospace specializes in high-quality, complex components, assemblies, kits, gears, precision and gearbox assemblies, and complex machined parts for commercial and military aerospace applications.
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Inspector IV will performs product inspection and/or audits of quality control programs including but not limited to inspection of parts, assemblies and finished products in accordance with contract specifications and/or legal requirements; follows company's inspection guidelines to conduct critical non-routine visual, dimensional, mechanical, electrical test and functional inspections on a wide variety of components, assemblies, equipment, systems, supplies and materials.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs complex and critical inspection procedures requiring special set-up of new or unique equipment and interpretation of test data from a variety of sources.
Samples and tests incoming components and raw materials; tracks results.
Ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company standards.
Applies approval or rejection labels to bulk raw materials once analytical data is evaluated.
Produces inspection reports as appropriate / requested.
Minimizes down time by reducing production rework and recalls.
Provides work leadership to lower-level associates; acts as liaison between Quality Assurance department and all other departments.
Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Associate's Degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and six-plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to use typical equipment, such as micrometers, vernier calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, oscilloscopes, component testers and the like.
Minimum 5 years quality inspection experience in aerospace manufacturing (machining) environment required.
Effective knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word and Excel minimum)
Strong understanding of precision CNC machining support first piece, receiving inspection and in-process and final inspection
Expert understanding of ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimension and Tolerances.
Expert level understanding of complex detail and assembly drawings as well as industry and OEM specifications.
Able to perform First Article Inspection per AS9102 (form 3 minimum)
Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, and overtime as required.
PREFERRED
Qualifications:
Honeywell, Pratt & Whitney or UTAS delegated source (DQR) experience without revocation of source inspection authority is a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
